Kill your monochrome enemies and unleash the color in Polygone

A really neat arcade game has arrived on Android from Thomas M Krall called Polygone which has players flying around a little spaceship with the goal of destroying the monochrome shapes that are floating around. To do this though, you will have to fly your ship into the one open spot that each shape has and fly into the color dot, which is basically its nucleus, in order to destroy the shape.

As you destroy these shapes you will gain points which are added to your total score. The world is a random mess of shapes floating around and rotating so actually getting your little ship into the center where the colored dot is can be quite challenging. You can also only hit the walls of each shape a certain amount of times before you end up destroying your ship and losing a life. After you lose three lives it is game over.

While it is all about getting a high score in this game, there comes additional risk when you start getting up there in the points. The more points you have, the more populated and dangerous the world around you becomes. It gets to the point where you will have so many shapes, some overlapping each other, that you will start having to time the rotations of the shapes in order to actually move, going from one center to another.

There are power-ups to help you out which you can collect thankfully but in the end, those will only help so much. If you’re up for the challenge that this game presents, you can download a copy of Polygone off of the Google Play store for $0.99. There is also a free demo version for you to try out before buying the full version.
