11 Bit Studios confirms Anomaly Korea will be released by Christmas

Fans of Anomaly: Warzone Earth have some good news today as 11 Bit Studios has confirmed the sequel to their tower offense game will be arriving on Android some time between now and Christmas. That means Anomaly Korea will land on Google Play at some point over the next 11 days. We’ve had the privilege of having been playing an early preview build of Anolomay Korea over the past couple of weeks and we can say you won’t be disappointed.

For those of you who have missed our previous coverage on Anomaly Korea, or haven’t played the first game, this is a tower offense game which is a tower defense game except for the fact that you play as the offense units instead of the defensive player in which you are placing towers everywhere to defend your base for attacking units. In a tower offensive game you are in command of your attacking units, being able to upgrade them, pick up useful power-ups and buy additional units of which there is a variety of available to you.

Anomaly Korea Features:

• Think tactically across 12 new missions
• Deploy new player powers and units to take on new enemies
• Put your skills to the test in ‘Art of War’ mode
• Cutting-edge visuals and a stunning soundtrack with full voice acting
• Graphics optimized for today’s most powerful Android devices

It isn’t completely about going after the enemy’s base either. Stages will have specific goals you will need to achieve whether it be destroying all the enemy towers in a specific zone on the map, rescuing stranded allies and other missions. You will also have to plot out your course in which you want your units to take before the stage begins. This requires some strategic thinking in order to ensure you complete your objectives and not get all of your units destroyed.

Visually Anomaly Korea is quite enjoyable to look at. There is plenty of eye candy yo enjoy from effects, explosions, animations and a great top-down perspective with a majority of the visuals rendered in 3D. So for those of you looking forward to this sequel, you won’t have to wait much longer. Until Anomaly Korea is released though, you can check out the new trailer to tide you over.
