Pocket Gems goes into mobile publishing, launches three games onto Google Play

Pocket Gems have been developing games for mobile for awhile now strictly for iOS until recently when they finally branched out onto Android as well. Late last week the company announced it was getting into mobile game publishing as well, similar to what other companies like Gamevil are doing, with publishing 3rd party mobile games. Their first partner game has arrived on Google Play called Chasing Yello.

Along with this release of their first 3rd party game, Pocket Gems have also release two other titles developed in-house: Tap Paradise Cove and Tap Campus Life. Here is a quick rundown of each new game from Pocket Gems.

Tap Paradise Cove

This particular game is a casual sim game where you will turn a mysterious island into a thriving colony by building various structures such as homes, shops, research buildings and so on. All structures can be upgraded as well for more bonuses to various aspects of the game. Overall though, the main goal is to attract residents, tourists and merchants to your newly found island.

You’ll also be able to discover plenty of hidden secrets on your island too, eventually filling in the pieces of a treasure map. Ruins, mystics sages, exotic animals and more are all things that you can discover while exploring. If you’re a fan of these casual sim type of games, you might want to check this one out. You can download Tap Paradise Cove off of Google Play for free.

Tap Campus Life

Tap Campus Life is a causal sim game which is all about life on a campus. You will be able to build your own house and decorate it, do makeovers and buy fashion, hold special events like beach parties and basically run the best sorority that you can. If you’re into these types of casual sim games, you can check this one out for free as well off of Google Play.

Chasing Yello

Chasing Yello is available on Google Play under Pocket Gem’s new publishing account which goes by the name Pocket Gem Publishing. This is basically an endless runner where you control a fish in water, dodging hazards such as rocks, burning logs and piranhas. Of course there are also plenty of power-ups to use along the way.

Unlike a majority of the endless runners out there, Chasing Yello features a much more cartoon style of art to it instead of 3D rendered visuals. Also you will be doing everything in a top-down perspective. Cartoon look aside, this game can actually get quite challenging as well. Chasing Yello is also available off of Google Play for free.
