Gameloft unleashes more cuteness with Littlest Pet Shop update

Gameloft has released a new update for Littlest Pet Shop which brings with it the ability to add pets to your collection that you have actually purchased in real life. Pets that you have purchased can now be scanned and added to your virtual collection in game. That is just one feature of this new update though.

Littlest Pet Shop has four new quests where you can unlock Canary, Koala, Ladybug and Penguin once you’ve completed each quest. There are also two new habitats called Cake Clubhouse and Sweet Shop as well as two new Spinner and Wheel items for your playground. Also arriving in this update is the Water Park Funhouse which is now available in-game.

Lastly there are 24 new gifts to give to your pets in order to make them happier. While this marks the first time this game has been updated since its release, and a rather big update at that, the biggest feature is the new scanning ability where you can add those actual Littlest Pet Shop toys you own and include them as part of your virtual pet collection.

We have included the full press release regarding this new scanning ability below in case you require further details.
