Super Hexagon gets updated with various performance enhancements

Terry Cavanagh’s rather addictive yet somewhat frustrating game Super Hexagon has had an update go live for it today for the Android version. The overall theme for this update is the game’s performance, minimizing any in-game lag that could happen and the game just running faster in general. These are important aspects of the game considering the entire game is based off of your ability to get your little shape into the gap of each hexagon that comes at you.

Having any sort of lag could easily have you ending up dead so having the game run faster and without lag is fairly important. So what all has been done to the game with this update?

Here’s the official changelog:

– New improved timing code, which reduces input lag on several devices (including the Nexus 7).
– Removed the legacy options button.
– Improved game setup, game should launch faster.
– General bugfixes.

So overall most players should see an improvement to the game running smoothly and faster with little to no lag, especially when moving your little shape around. The update is now live on Google Play so you should be able to download it right now.
