Temple Run: Oz from Imangi Studios sprints its way onto Google Play

Yesterday we reported on the news that Imangi Studios and Disney had teamed up once again to bring the mobile gaming world another movie spin-off game that uses the Temple Run franchise like they did with Temple Run: Brave. Temple Run: Oz was released onto iOS yesterday and the Android version we figured would be released any day now. Well that prediction has come true and Temple Run: Oz is now available on the Google Play store.

For those of you who missed yesterday’s article, Temple Run: Oz is a movie spin-off game based on the upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful movie slated for release on March 8th, 2013 in theaters. Instead of a rough beaten path to run on, players will be sprinting their way down the yellow brick road through new environments that are themed around the Wizard of Oz universe.

Temple Run: Oz Features:

• Stunning environments inspired by the film – explore them all.
• Fly in a hot air balloon – earn even more coins.
• Explore different locations in Oz – follow sign posts!
• The environment changes as you run – test your reflexes.
• Compete in weekly challenges – beat your friends!

Temple Run: Oz also has a few new features as well. This game is based off of Temple Run 2 so the gradual turns, hills and other improvements can be found in this game. However, there is the addition of the hot air balloon that players will need to control from time to time. There also happens to be weekly challenges players can compete in.

Right now if you download Temple Run: Oz off of Google Play, you will be treated to 1500 free coins right off the jump. Downloading this game will cost you $0.99 and there are the standard IAPs that you’re probably used to from previous Temple Run games inside this one. We will have a full review coming soon.
