Upcoming awesome naval strategy game Oil Rush gets a new trailer

We have reported on Unigine Corps’ upcoming naval strategy game Oil Rush a couple of times in the past. This promising looking game, both visually and gameplay-wise, now has a new trailer for Android gamers to drool over which shows off more of the game’s gameplay and pretty damn impressive visuals.

Developed using Unigine’s own Unigine 3D game engine, Oil Rush was originally released for PCs and when it does come to Android it will be temporarily exclusive to devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipsets. It will, however, be coming to other Android devices shortly after the temporary exclusivity deal Unigine Corp has with Qualcomm. Either way, when it does get released, there will be plenty of eye candy to enjoy and, judging from the new trailer, some pretty face-paced action as well.

For those of you not familiar with Oil Rush, the game has a pretty unique concept for a strategy game which actually echos a lot of the real world in some ways. In Oil Rush the world’s currency is now oil. You’ll have to build your rigs and gather as much as you can while defending them against enemies intent on taking your rigs.

When we reported on the full details of the game back in February 2013, we mentioned that the combat looked pretty hectic and this new trailer pretty much confirms this fact. Unfortunately the game was slated for release in February 2013 but it hasn’t arrived just yet. When it does, Oil Rush will be exclusive to Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 devices for 6 months before it will be made available to everyone else. This means non-Qualcomm S4 device owners wanting to get their hands on this game, if it comes out this month, having  to wait till September 2013.

There is a full list of supported devices available over on the game’s official website in case you want to check and make sure you will be able to get the game when it is initially released right away.
