Back in the beginning of February we talked about Kabam who will be teaming up with NBC Universal for the next Fast and the Furious game which will be heading out way soon. The movie is slated to hit theaters on May 26th, 2013 and this new game is also slated for release sometime in May 2013, most likely around a week before the movie hits theaters.
Kabam is more known for their MMO games, most of which are available to play through your browsers on your PC although they do have a few on Android already such as The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-Earth and Arcane Empires. While there isn’t a whole lot of details regarding this game just yet, we do know that there will be a couple of different game modes to play in including a ‘Heist Mode’ which will have players trying to complete different ‘jobs’ in as little time as possible.
The majority of this game will be of a racing nature, racing and drifting through the streets of London while trying to get different jobs done or goals accomplished. The fact that Kabam is involved in this game’s development in some fashion would suggest that there will be some sort of multiplayer game mode, quite possibly of an MMO nature. How deep this multiplayer mode goes remains to be seen, if there even is one at all. It would be strange for Kabam to be involved if there wasn’t some sort of multiplayer gameplay though. Perhaps some cross-platform style of multiplayer?
Either way the game does look pretty good, at least from what we can see in the trailer above. As for when this game will arrive, right now all we know is ‘May 2013’ as a release time frame but as we mentioned above, we figure it will be about a week before the actual movie hits theaters. When more details are released, we’ll post an update.
