There is a new gladiator game on the horizon from a development company called Steel Monkeys which is currently available on iOS called I, Gladiator. Since the game’s release onto iOS it has garnered quite the following and positive reviews and now Steel Monkeys happens to be getting it ready for its release onto Google Play soon.
As you may be guessing from the name of the game, players take on the role of a gladiator who is fighting for their lives, and of course riches and fame as well. However, in this particular gladiator game it isn’t all about just hacking your enemies as much as you can in order to win. Instead, while there will be plenty of blood and hacking involved, players will also have to take advantage of their surroundings, notice and utilize an enemy’s weaknesses, and basically figure out a strategy for each fight as each one will be vastly different from the previous one.

As you can tell by the above features list, this is definitely not your typical gladiator game. While there are leaderboard and things of that nature to challenge you friends with, there is no actual multiplayer which is too bad. Even without real multiplayer though, this game looks like it will be a lot of fun and bloody.
As of right now there is no set release date for when I, Gladiator will arrive on Google Play. The developers have told us that it should be within a few weeks though so it won’t be that long of a wait. If this game follows the pricing of its iOS brethren, it will cost you $4.99 to grab a copy of this game when it comes out.
