Continuing on with crowdfunding news today, a new game has hit up Kickstarter for funding and the concept is actually quite a neat one. Officially called C-Wars, this game is being labeled as a roguelike RTS game that will be arriving onto a variety of platforms when its finished including Android tablets.
Currently in Alpha phase of development, C-Wars features a blend of real-time strategy and tower defense gameplay wrapped up into one title. Players are charged with investigating infected areas of a post-apocalyptic world, taking on enemies in ‘Mega Man Battle Network-style’ RTS combat. Unlike the slow style of combat in the Mega Man game, this one features much faster gameplay all around including the combat.
Interestingly enough, for all of you out there who happen to own an Android tablet, there is an alpha build of the game available for download so you can try it out ahead of time before you decide to drop a few bucks to help funding out. There is an alpha build download available for other platforms as well and do keep in mind that since this is an early alpha build that there will be bugs.
Right now the funding is sitting at $24,658 with a goal of $32,000 to reach within the next 26 days. So there should be no problem getting this game funded. If you want to help out though, head over to their Kickstarter campaign to drop a couple of bucks.
