One game we are eagerly looking forward to getting released is a new retro style game from OrangePixel called Heroes of Loot. We’ve actually talked about this game a few times already but if you happened to miss our previous coverage for Heroes of Loot, here is a quick rundown of what this game is about.
If you spend any time in the arcades back in the day when arcades were the ‘thing’ then you probably played a game called Gauntlet. Well Heroes of Loot is OrangePixel homage to Gauntlet but with their own flare to the visuals and gameplay. Heroes of Loot will feature roguelike game mechanics as well so dungeons are randomly generated as are where the monsters show up and the loot inside those dungeons.
Heroes of Loot builds a bit further on the Gauntlet game by adding stores where you can purchase items and potions with the money you find inside the dungeons. In the new video released by OrangePixel we get to see more of the gameplay that Heroes of Loot will be coming with.
As for when Heroes of Loot will be released, right now OrangePixel has a general May or June 2013 time frame for when this game will land on Android. For those of you who want to try the game out right now, there is a PC early beta version available for download.
