The long awaited space sim game Star Command which had a rather successful Kickstarter campaign, will be arriving onto iOS on May 2nd. So what about us Android gamers? Well as much as the company behind Star Command wants to release the Android version at the same time, we will unfortunately have to wait until June 2013 to get our hand on their game.
For those of you not familiar with Star Command, this game is a retro style action sim game where you’ll be in control of your ship and its crew. Each crew member has their own traits, specialties and personalities which you will need to utilize properly if you want to be successful at Star Command. Overall you will be designing each room on your ship, hiring the right crew members, fighting off aliens who try to hijack your ship and completing quests along the way.
Players will hop from planet to planet and galaxy to galaxy exploring and fighting off random alien encounters at the same time. Managing your crew and upgrading your ship will also be playing a big role in your success in this game.
Prospective players have been waiting for some time since the Star Command Kickstarter campaign ended to finally get to play this game and it looks like the wait is finally drawing to a close. We just have to be patient for one more month.
