Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.0 update pushed back until mid-May

The much anticipated 0.7.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been slightly delayed from getting pushed out onto Android and iOS. Well there is some slightly bad news today for all of you chomping at the bit to get this update as well as getting on Minecraft Realms with your own server or onto your friend’s server.

Originally the update was slated for release by the end of April but was slightly pushed back to possibly being the first week of May if it didn’t arrive by the end of April. Well there is an update regarding when 0.7.0 will be released and it looks like everyone will have to wait just a little bit longer. Johan posted an update on his Twitter account stating that the release of the update will most likely be mid-May now.

Why the delay? Because the developers working on the Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.0 update “forgot a couple of things and have a couple of bugs to fix before release”. Better to have a bug free update, especially with multiplayer servers heading our way, than one with bugs right? So everyone will have to wait a couple of weeks before the update is released.
