Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.1 update now out, fixes the furnace bug and more

Since the release of Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.0 Alpha people have noticed a few bugs happening in the game. Mojang was also aware of the bugs the moment the 0.7.0 hit devices and have been working on an 0.7.1 bug fix update to solve the current problems. Well that bug fix update is now available for download.

A couple of the more major and noticeable bugs were the furnaces not working at all for a lot of people and there was also no way to eat cooked food. There was also an issue with the armor screen as well that many people have noticed. As for the Realms List in-game, that isn’t working yet because realm creation doesn’t start until next week so you won’t see a list of servers on there until then. That isn’t a bug at all.

The 0.7.1 update fixes the furnace issue as well as the armor screen issue. While food eating is supposed to still be working in game, the animation wasn’t there so you would end up thinking that you were not actually eating anything. That has also been fixed as well. So regardless if you’ve been having these issues or not, grabbing this update is pretty much mandatory for everyone.

If you don’t see the update right away, give it a bit as it is still propagating through Google Play.
