Upcoming Arena of Heroes tactical turn-based MOBA enters open beta

For those of you who are into MOBA games and like beta testing new titles, Sneaky Games has their upcoming turn-based tactical MOBA game Arena of Heroes has gone live for open beta testers to jump into the game early and check everything out. This particular type of MOBA game is a bit different than your typical MOBA title like of League of Legends or DOTA 2.

Unlike the usual MOBA game you hear about where teams of players square off playing as their favorite hero and attempting to push into the enemy team’s base and destroying the main target, Arena of Heroes is a tactical turn-based MOBA where two players will face-off instead. Each player will have a group of four heroes under their control and essentially Arena of Heroes plays out a bit like chess in that each player has up to two minutes to make their moves with their heroes.

The entire combat zone is smaller, gameplay is slower and focuses more on strategy than brute force pushing your way into an enemy’s base, dynamically adjusting to where your enemy team’s heroes are pushing towards your base.

When Arena of Heroes officially launches it will be a free-to-play title as most MOBA games are. However Android gamers won’t be able to get their hands on it right away. The initial launch will be for PC, Mac and iOS while Android and Ouya will be getting their versions at some point afterwards.
