Is Google developing their own Android game console? Possibly as a new Nexus Q model?

While we already have a decent amount of Android-powered game consoles heading out way shortly and more in the near future, it appears that Google may very well be getting into the home console game as well with a new model of the Nexus Q. While this will be similar to the original Nexus Q from last year, this particular new model will have more of a ‘gaming focus’ to it.

Right now details are a bit distorted in the fact that Google is either making a new model of the Nexus Q and an Android-powered game console or that the new model of the Nexus Q will be, as we stated above, more gaming focused. In fact reports are stating both so as of right now we are not sure what really is going on, whether it will be one device or two separate units.

One fact that is known is that this new model of the Nexus Q will be much more affordable than the previous one which was priced at $299. Either way this takes shape it sounds Google wants a console as well. It makes sense too since they could easily integrate their own game console with their Google Play Games service. Do we have enough already or would a Google made game console be a welcomed addition? Leave your comments below.
