SNK Playmore brings us some head-to-head combat with Samurai Shodown II

It’s been a little bit since SNK Playmore released a new game onto Google Play, having brought us four Metal Slug games already as well as Blazing Star. Now it is apparently time for the company to bring us a little samurai head-to-head combat action with their new release called Samurai Shodown II. Yes, it is spelled that way on purpose.

Originally released back in 1994 for the Neo Geo, it has since made its way to a variety of console platforms. Now Samurai Shodown II is making its way onto mobile devices with Android included. This is the second installment into the series, Samurai Shodown II is a brawler style game where you and an opponent square off, beating each other relentlessly until either you or they win.

Samurai Shodown II for mobile brings with it all 15 of the original characters as well as four additional newcomers to the fight. While this is the original game for the most part, SNK Playmore has not only added the four extra characters to the game but has also expanded the entire moves list for each character. This means there are plenty more combos to possibly do and more way to defeat your opponent. However, the same goes for your opponents as well.

If you want to fight it out with a friend, you’ll be able to do that through bluetooth multiplayer only. As for controls, there is the original four button layout as well as a new six button layout along with an SP button to better unleash all your attacks with.

If you’ve been looking for a good head-to-head brawler to play, you might want to check out Samurai Shodown II. It’ll cost you $8.99 to download yourself a copy of it. One last thing, this game comes with MOGA support.
