BitBattle retro-style arcade combat game marches onto Google Play

It’s Monday, the first day after the July 4th weekend and while many people do take today off in order to give themselves an extra day to recover from the festivities they were a part of during the weekend, plenty of people are off back to work like normal. If you happen to be one of those people already back at work and happen to be grumpy about it, or possibly have some extra energy you need to ditch, you might want to check out BitBattle by Human Pride Games.

BitBattle isn’t exactly a new game that landed onto Google Play today. In fact it is one of those games that gets launched and ends up being a title we would feature in our “Under The Radar” series of articles (which we will be picking back up soon). So BitBattle has been out for a couple of weeks already and is a rather cool looking retro-style arcade game that offers up players the ability to pick from the available armies before heading off to battle to conquer the playing field.

You will start off with 2 armies you can choose from but there are an additional six more armies that you’ll be able to unlock along the way. Once you pick the army you want to play as, with each army having 5 different and unique units within them, you will enter into a head-to-head match with another army. There is no story mode or campaign style of play, it is all single matches and a survival mode.

There is a multiplayer game mode to play through as well but it is the two player same screen style of multiplayer gameplay on the same device. We’re hoping that true online multiplayer gets added to BitBattle at some point. Of course the soundtrack to this game is also full of chiptunes to listen to as well. If you’re up for checking out BitBattle, you can download the game off of Google Play for free.
