While PC gamers are already enjoying the cyberpunk infused title Shadowrun Returns, tablet gamers are wondering where the hell their copy is. The game was supposed to be released onto tablets at the same time as the PC version but when that date came, only the PC version hit the spotlight. As it turns out, the tablet version has been delayed but not for any particular major reason.
However, that doesn’t mean the reason isn’t a good one either. Essentially they are doing more testing and polishing on Shadowrun Returns for tablets before releasing it.
While we wanted to get the mobile tablet versions out at the same time as the PC and Mac versions, our main priority is creating the best game possible on all platforms – Harebrained Schemes
We’ve seen it happen a few times lately where a game is released only to be pulled from Google Play due to something being wrong that managed to slip by all the testing that had been done. So to avoid something like this happening, Harebrained schemes is delaying the release a few weeks. Consider what date it is right now, we are probably looking at somewhere near the end of August for Shadowrun Return to launch for tablets, although no official date has been mentioned.
