Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is an upcoming movie that is based off of a series of novels that will be arriving in theaters on August 21st, 2013. Well that won’t be the only place Mortal Instruments will be arriving at as an official Android game has also been announced which will be based off of the movie.

For those of you not familiar with Mortal Instruments as a franchise, this series of novels and soon to be series of movies focuses on a lot of supernatural themes such as Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks and so on. We won’t dive into the storyline too much since if we do it could possibly ruin it for people planning to head to the theater to watch the first movie when its released next week.
In the Mortal Instruments game, players will be taking on the role of a Shadowhunter. These people happen to be half-angel and half-human who track down and kill other supernatural creatures like Vampires, Werewolves and Warlocks. Most of these creatures are evil so the Shadowhunters track them down and kill whoever is out of line, saving the citizens of New York from becoming a victim.
This game will be an Action-RPG title which will features locations, characters and magical abilities from the movie. You’ll be able to customize your appearance as well as your arsenal of weaponry and skills that you will use to kill all the evil creatures out there. According to the details we’ve received, this game will actually never end as there will be an unlimited amount of missions to complete.
If you’re a fan of the series then you’ll probably want to pick this game up. Mortal Instruments The Mobile Game will be arriving onto Google Play on August 15th, 2013. When the game arrives you will be able to download it for free.
