A new retro style platform has arrived onto Google Play called Brave Bit. This challenging little platformer features the dual-tone visuals we are used to seeing in minimalistic style games like this with the dark (black) foreground with the single color background. When we say this is a challenging platformer, we mean it is rather challenging, like up there with Super Meat Boy challenging.
The goal of the game is simple enough, just run through each stage and collect the orbs along the way. As simple as this sounds, actually accomplishing this is a whole different story. Each stage is layered in plenty of hazards to avoid with some of the hazards being stationary while others are moving. Some examples of things to avoid are Saws, Stompers, Cannons, Falling Spikes, Electric Fences, Machine Guns and more.
Right now there are 30 levels to work your way through and while that may not seem like a lot, it won’t be 30 levels you can just breeze through. The developers also plan seasonal updates. That doesn’t mean you will get a Christmas themed update but what it does mean is that you’ll get a new batch of levels every season.
If you’re a fan of the more challenging platformer out there then you might want to try Brave Bit. There is both a free version you can check out as well as a paid version of the game which will run you $0.99.
