One of the early popular games for the Ouya console was Towerfall, a local multiplayer game where up to four people try to kill each other round after round. A new game that landed on Ouya yesterday brings us similar mechanics but this time with squacky little ducks and is appropriately named Duck Game.
Duck Game is a full on PvP game where players choose the duck they wish to control and proceed to kill any of the other ducks current on the map they are on. These other ducks are controlled by you friends who happen to be sitting beside you play the game as well, since it is local multiplayer. Each round of the game is quick, so while skill is needed to come out as victorious, you’ll also need to master the art of shooting as much as you can in as little time as possible… and actually hitting your opponent at the same time.
This game does feature some rather cool retro-style visuals and chip tunes to enjoy while trying to kill other ducks. As you can imagine with a game like this, Duck Game comes with a plethora of weaponry at your disposal. You’ll have everything from a shotgun to lasers and even grenades to toss. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even use weapons like old-fashioned muskets. In total there are over 50 different arenas to use all this weaponry in.
If you somehow get bored of the 50 arenas available in Duck Game, you can use the level editing tool to make your own levels instead. Duck Game is now available for download off of the Ouya Marketplace but you can check the game out in action beforehand in the video below.
