Whispering Willows is a game we’ve been following for some time now, from its original announcement to its Kickstarter funding and even when it was part of the Kill Screen CREATE competition for the Ouya console. Now it seems this game is finally getting closer to release as the developers have released a new trailer for it.
During the Kickstarter campaign, the Los Angeles-based indie studio Night Light Interactive managed to raise $20K in funding to complete the game. On Monday they unveiled a new trailer for Whispering Willows, a horror-themed adventure puzzle title for PC and OUYA in which players have the power to exit their character’s physical body as a ghost.
Whispering Willows has players in control of a young girl named Elena who must rely on her supernatural ability to transform into a spirit in order to solve puzzles and even communicate with other ghostly beings that she encounters during her adventures.
This new trailer for Whispering Willows show us with a glimpse at its eerie visuals and gameplay. These creepy visuals and style of gameplay are what won the game a number of design awards including “Most Immersive” during the OUYA Create Game Jam last year.
Whispering Willows is slated to arrive on the OUYA console on May 27th, 2014 as well as on PC via Steam on June 17th, 2014.
