Although there is no date yet for its Android release, Rebuild: Gangs of Deadsville is now available in its beta form through Steam Early Access. The game is centered around rebuilding society after surviving a zombie apocalypse. With a small group of survivors you take back blocks of a city, while trying to survive in a zombie-filled world.
Made by Sarah Northway of the wife and husband development duo Northway Games, the game was advertised on it’s original Kickstarter page as Sim City meets The Walking Dead, which makes sense considering its mix of survival and city-building strategy gameplay. Rebuild: Gangs of Deadsville features randomized cities for “endless replayability” along with 50 types of building to add to your city and numerous npc characters with survival back-stories of their own.
Rebuild‘s origins come from a flash-based browser game. I don’t play those kinds of games often, but I remember trying it out and enjoying it quite a bit. We still don’t know the price for it on Android, but it currently costs $14.99 for its standard edition on Steam Early Access.
