Gameloft releases more screenshots for Modern Combat 5: Blackout as well as multiplayer details

Gameloft seems to be releasing new screenshots and information regarding their upcoming addition to the Modern Combat franchise called Modern Combat 5: Blackout. If you’ve been following the site the last couple of weeks, then you are probably all caught up with all the details that have been released so far.

So staying true to the pattern Gameloft has started with releasing information about Modern Combat 5: Blackout, we now have a new set of screenshots and this time they are showing off some of the multiplayer content that will be available when the game is released. They have also released some additional information about one of the multiplayer modes called Squad vs Squad and multiplayer in general.

Multiplayer will consist of four different types of maps with each one supporting up to 12 players:

– Capture The Flag
– VIP
– Free For All
– Team Battle

So what is the difference between Team Battle and Squad vs Squad? Well Team Battle is made up of random people joining the current match you are presently in. Squad vs Squad is essentially a guild battle type of scenario. So players will be able to form up persistent squads made up of their friends and play against other pre-made squads. Of course there will also be leaderboard tracking both individual and squad progress throughout multiplayer matches.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout will also have limited timed events for both individual players as well as squad-based events. Depending on the objectives for each event, players and squads will win special prizes across several tiers.

As for when this game will hit Google Play, there is still just a general Summer time frame.
