Hardscore Games is looking to bring 3D visuals to the TCG genre with Star Admiral

Trading Card Games like Magic the Gathering and Order & Chaos Duels are wildly popular and have a proven game play formula. Hardscore Games is looking to shake that formula up a bit by adding some fast paced strategy and 3D visuals to their up coming game Star Admiral.

Star Admiral will be a Massively Multiplayer Trading Card Game and will be available to play on your Smartphone and Tablet. The goal for Hardscore Games was to create a competitive multiplayer game that works great on mobile devices and appeals to the core gaming audience. Instead of collecting cards you can assemble a vast fleet of 3D Spaceships and lead them into fast paced and strategic battles against online opponents.

Peter Morczinek CMO of Hardscore Games says, “The game its-self features great visuals, live, fast paced, multiplayer matches and a ladder system.” Mobile Games for Gamers is the Motto of the Berlin startup company which was founded in 2013.

Star Admiral will feature 3 main races to choose between along with 101 ships, and 11 mercenary factions each with their own unique look and feel. You will also be able to customize your deck with traps and strikes to help defeat your opponents and future updates to the gameĀ  include seasons and even live streaming tournaments via Twitch.

The game will be free to play but Hardscore Games realizes that this has become a major pain point for real gamers so they also wanted to make sure it was free to win. Players will not hit a pay wall or be able to buy units other non paying users can’t and that freer to play for hardcore gamers on mobile platforms is the new trend in mobile gaming. Star Admiral will be releasing on iOS in July followed by the Android version in the next few months.
