[E3 2014] Square Enix releases an official trailer for Final Fantasy VII G Bike

Yesterday we reported what turning out to be the first in a series of ports of the mini-games found in the original Final Fantasy VII game. Unfortunately we didn’t have any real screenshots or a trailer of any kind to show our readers what Final Fantasy VII G Bike for Android will look like. Today Square Enix has solved that problem by releasing an announcement trailer for everyone to check out.

If you missed yesterday’s news about Final Fantasy VII G Bike, basically this was a mini-game found in the original Final Fantasy VII game. This mini-game, along with many others including the Chocobo races, we found at the Golden Saucer casino-style complex. As it turns out, this will be the first release of a series of games all of which are supposed to be ports of the original mini-games.

Final Fantasy VII G Bike, and the mini-game it’s based off of, is basically a combat racing game. You’ll be racing against IA opponents to the finish line but you also have the ability to attack your opponents, and vise versa, while you are racing. After watching the trailer, found in the video above, it does look like there was some improvements to the visuals of the game. Of course this is a trailer so everything is supposed to look good anyways.

As for when Final Fantasy VII G Bike will hit Android, it is still being said tat Japan will be getting the game first this Fall. A Western release is supposed to follow but no concrete date has been announced.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
