The official Twitter account for Angry Birds Epic announced the release date for the game, and it is coming out tomorrow. A turn-based RPG, Angry Birds Epic places the birds on a fantasy version of Piggy Island, although Piggy Island is in itself already fictional, in case you weren’t aware.

The battles pit the birds against the pigs in what some would say is the least surprising story ever to come out of the Angry Birds franchise. Weapons crafted to use against the pigs include frying pans, and according to the official site “stick thingy with a sponge on top.”
This is not the first time Rovio has made a “Birds” spin-off game. The kart racer, Angry Birds Go is an example of such an event. The game will be free but don’t worry, there are micro-transactions, so no dev’s family will have to go hungry.
