Nvidia’s GeForce Experience 2.1.1 for PC is available for download. Now with support for the Shield Tablet.

Nvidia’s set of utilities for the PC, called the GeForce Experience, has had an updated pushed out to it which brings some improvements all around to features like ShadowPlay as well as bringing additional support overall for the Nvidia Shield Tablet.

As the line between PC and Android gaming becomes more blurred, we will end up reporting on things like this more often in the near future. Whether it is streaming PC games (local or cloud) onto your Nvidia Shield or Shield Tablet, streaming your gameplay to TwtchTV, or numerous other things you can do now, we will be covering all of that sort of news. In this case it is with the GeForce Experience update.

For those of you not familiar with Nvidia’s GeForce Experience, this is a set of utilities for your PC that runs a GeForce graphics card. This program will do things like inform you when new drivers are available for your particular graphics card. If you’re a PC gamer and happen to just want to play games instead of tweaking your game/PC settings for optimal performance, the GeForce Experience can do that as well for a variety of games. It also is the main ‘gateway’ to using things like GameStream which allows you to stream your PC games to your Android device locally.

GeForce Experience 2.1.1 Update Changelog:

Overall:
– Improves GeForce Experience and ShadowPlay stability
– Improves driver download connectivity
– Fixes an issue where GeForce Experience cannot be resized

GameStream:
– Updated on-screen controls for GameStream
– Improves quality of service and security

GeForce 340.52 Driver Update:
– Support for GameStream Technology with the new Shield Tablet and updated support for the Nvidia Shield
– Support for GeForce ShadowPlay, GeForce ShadowPlay, TwitchTV Streaming

If you own an Nvidia Shield or Shield Tablet and use any of the streaming or gameplay recording features on either device, whether it be local streaming through GameStream or onto TwitchTV, you will want to update GeForce Experience on the PC you use. If you don’t have GeForce Experience installed on your PC, you might want to check it out as it can come in quite handy.
