A couple of months ago I came across the sequel to one of the platformers I enjoyed playing, Manuganu. Manuganu 2 was released on iOS and I was hopeful that it would make its way to Android as did its predecessor. A few days ago, independent game designer Alper Sarikaya, informed us that Manuganu 2 had indeed arrived in the Play Store.
Alper Sarikaya is a CG Artist that lives in Istanbul, Turkey. To his credit, he now has three games in the Play Store. They are Gravity Project, which was released in 2012, Manuganu released in 2013 and most recently Manuganu 2. Alper’s background is in creating animation and video effects for film and commercials. Since 2012, he has been making games for mobile devices. Gravity Project is a futuristic endless runner. In the Manuganu series, you help the ever so jaunty character Manuganu, navigate a 3D platform environment.
Manuganu is back in his latest adventure and the game world has been expanded quite a bit. Manuganu and Daadi are best friends. One day while Daadi is playing in the woods, he is captured by the evil fire monster Goyakoka. Goyakoka takes Daadi off to Popama Mountain, and this is where Manuganu’s adventure begins.
Manuganu 2 Features:
– 40 Unequally designed levels. Beat 4 Epic Bosses and compete the saga. Collect all the items to win extra awards. Follow alternate paths to collect the three stars and gain Google Play Achievements
– To run away from enemies and dodge the obstacles use the halt feature. In Manuganu timing is everything.

There are forty levels to conquer and in each level you can obtain three stars. One star is for clearing the level in a certain time frame, the second star is for collecting the required amount of blue coins and the third start is for collecting the few golden tokens that appear in each level. As long as you clear the level, the next level is unlocked. You don’t have to get all three stars to unlock the next level. There are four different environments: Canyon, Cliff, Jungle and Volcano. In the last level of each environment you encounter the boss for that environment.
Manuganu 2 is a true free-to-play game. There are ads after each level, but no ads appear while you are in-game. The only in-app purchase is to remove the ads for $0.99. The game is integrated with Google Game Play Services and has nineteen achievements to collect. If you are fond of 3D platformers that are challenging and varied in game play, Manuganu 2 is clearly worth downloading.
