This year’s installment of the Madden NFL series on Android has been announced for a release on August 26, and is simply titled Madden Mobile. The game features touch-analog controls along with an “action button” to control running, and for my lack of football knowledge, meandering past other players.
You can play through a season, to try to make it too the Super Bowl or you can also compete in challenges, called Live Events to earn coins which will presumably unlock other content, and player packs among other “prizes”. Real players from both the past and present NFL teams are used, and there is multiplayer. As of now there is no price announced, so it may be free-to-play.
For those looking for a more complete Madden experience, Madden NFL 15 comes out the same day on PlayStation and Xbox systems. Hopefully though this will be a good way to get some Madden action on the go, seeing as there is no new Madden title on the PS Vita or 3DS this year.
