[Updated] Bik Brings Intergalactic Retro Adventure Game Action to Google Play August 14

Bik is an all new retro styled adventure game inspired by classic point and click adventure titles like Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island. The game follows Bik, a boy who is abducted by aliens while camping with friends. Many events transpire while he tries to find a way home including him teaming up with two alien mercenaries.

Update: August 15th, 2014 3:09am PST: Bik is now available on Google Play. If you haven’t snagged a copy yet, you can do so through the link below. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already, especially since it is on sale for $0.99 to celebrate the game’s launch. Expect a review to arrive soon.

Bik is a game where there is the Morality mechanic involved in it. This means you’re choices affect the outcome of the game as well as the journey you take to get there. Sort of like The Walking Dead in that regards. Of course the storyline is a bit different:

In Bik, we follow a young boy who is abducted by aliens while on a camping trip with his friends. After joining forces with two friendly alien mercenaries, Ammut and Tatenen, Bik escapes from his abductors and tries to find his way home. Along the way, Bik and his newfound friends outsmart hijackers, (eat some brownies), accept a perilous mission to find a missing alien, (make some sandwiches), foil a dastardly plot by an evil corporate empire, (argue with disgruntled robots), and save a planet on the brink of destruction.

Thing to do in Bik:

-Point and click (or touch) your way through deeply atmospheric environments.
-Become absorbed in the world through an enthralling original soundtrack.
-Control multiple characters and see the story from different perspectives.
-Enjoy story-driven, thoughtfully crafted puzzles.
-Get abducted by aliens!
-Fire a laser gun!
-Befriend alien races and join them on adventures in space
-Join a mercenary crew aboard a space freighter
-And much more!

A very much story-driven game, Bik has both puzzle solving and action elements as you switch between characters. This title is also notable for featuring its own original soundtrack which can be purchased separately here. While the game will be releasing on August 14 on the Google Play Store for $2.99, you can actually buy it now through the game’s official site for $3.99 for Android, Windows, Linux, and Mac.
