New Unique Puzzle Game Called Rote Is Out On Google Play

If you like puzzle games, especially those that are a serious challenge, then Rote might be up your alley. The color palate used by RageFX is simple, with lots of whites and bright colors used to denote what’s happening within Rote.

In this game, players need to progress a little green icosahedron (table top gamers will know that as a D20) from the start point to the end point on each level, with an increase in difficulty happening along the way What makes this game unique is the basis of rows of blocks (with gaps between them) that the player can move horizontally to navigate the icosahedron through to the end, sometimes doubling back in the process. Levels achieve difficulty through multiple ways in this game.

There’s a free demo containing ten levels, and the pro version (at $1.20) containing all thirty levels. Here’s the quick and dirty:

● Clean and simple design
● 30 challenges that get more and more difficult ( 10 in this free version )
● Handcrafted puzzles
● Due to the high difficulty, you can always quit and resume from where you left off
● No in-game purchases
● High quality chill music by “& Days” ( https://soundcloud.com/ndaystybg )

Not only through size of the puzzles, but also by limiting the number of moves a player can make to complete it, as well as by the intentional absence of a tip/help system (per the dev’s website). To add yet another layer of complexity (frustration?) is that players are limited in the number of times they can attempt a board; these resets can be used by the player at any point.
