[Updated] 11-Bit Studios set to release Anomaly Defenders onto Android next week

11-Bit Studios is gearing up to release what will be the last chapter in the Anomaly series called Anomaly Defenders. Originally this game was released onto Steam back in May of this year and we had hoped that the Android version would also launch at around the same time. Unfortunately that didn’t happen but the wait appears to be ending soon as 11-Bit Studios has announced that Anomaly Defenders will be landing on Android next week.

Update: September 23, 2014 – Anomaly Defenders is now live in the Play Store. 11-Bit Studios knows how to craft a tower-defense game that gamers can enjoy. If you are up to the challenge, you can download the game in the Play Store now for $3.99 through the link below.

For those of you not familiar with the Anomaly franchise, these are some of the best Tower Offense games available for mobile. They feature some pretty impressive visuals and the gameplay to match those visuals. However in this final installment into the franchise, players won’t be going on the offensive as Humans. Instead we will be playing as the Aliens who are on the defense, protecting their bases and such from the Humans with towers and other defensive measures. So basically you will be playing as the enemy.

In total you will have eight towers at your disposal and all of them can be upgraded multiple times. Each tower also has different functions that can be unlocked as well. This means there are a lot of combinations to take advantage of when setting up your defenses. Anomaly Defenders will also feature the same high-quality graphics as its older brethren had.

The official release date for Anomaly Defenders is September 23rd, 2014 and while we don’t have a price tag yet for the game, it probably won’t matter to anyone who is a fan of the franchise. These games are always good. We will post an update when this game goes live on Google Play. In the meantime, you can check out our hands-on preview for Anomaly Defenders we did a few months back with the press build we received of the PC version.
