[Updated] Surreal puzzler Back To Bed will be arriving for the Ouya console soon

The Ouya console and marketplace will be getting another great game soon called Back To Bed from Bedtime Digital Games. Currently this game is already available on Google Play but if you own an Ouya, you’ll be able to pick up an optimized version of the game in the not-too-distant future.

Update: October 7th, 2014 8:02am PST: Back To Bed is now officially available for the Ouya console through the Ouya Marketplace. It will cost you $3.99 to snag a copy.

For those of you not familiar with this game, Back To Bed features some pretty surreal looking art which ties in quite nicely with the theme of the game. In this game you assume control of Bob’s subconscious in order to guide him back to his bed in this dream land safely. This requires figuring out the proper path to take in each level.

Back To Bed Features:

• Unique surreal and artistic game universe: A strange but beautiful dream universe that mixes elements from the real world and the world of dreams to create something unique, surreal and sometimes a bit scary.
• Isometric puzzle levels: Navigate detailed 3D puzzles that defy the laws of physics, wherein the player must manipulate the strange environment to create a safe path Bob and avoid the dangers of the puzzle.
• Two characters as one: Play as the embodied subconsciousness, in the form of a small guardian creature, trying to save its own sleepwalking body from dangers of the dream world.
• Picturesque visual style: Discover the feeling of playing in a piece of art set in a digital frame. A visual style inspired by hand-painted techniques, surreal art and impossible shapes.
• Nightmare mode: Unlock a more challenging version of the game, made for those who truly want to test their puzzle solving skills and enjoy thinking many steps ahead, or who are just too stubborn to give up.
• MOGA-support: Enjoy Back to Bed with MOGA controllers.

Back To Bed will be arriving on the Ouya Marketplace this October 7th, 2014. As for pricing, we don’t know if it will retain the current $4 price tag it has on Google Play or if it will have a different price. In the meantime, you can also check out our interview with Jonas Byrresen of Bedtime Digital Games about Back To Bed and future games.
