Following the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 7.0 is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Nook 10.1. Featuring a 10.1″ 1280×800 display, the latest Nook is another Samsung/Barnes and Noble Hybrid and retails currently for $299 with an instant $50 rebate.
A Galaxy Tab 4 with Nook features, the tablet only comes in 16GB Wi-Fi models with no other options available at this time. It does have a microSD card slot for expandable memory up to 64GB. One selling point Barnes and Noble is pushing is it’s “$200” of included bonus content including a $5 Nook credit. This includes multiple books, movies, TV shows, and apps for the price of free, if you consider a $299 tablet “free.”
While this is not a tablet made for gaming, it is still an option with access to both Nook apps, and more importantly for gaming, the Google Play Store. Inside is a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm APQ 8026 Processor, a Quad-Core processor which I can only assume means its better suited for gaming than older non-Samsung Nook tablets. If you are in the market for a tablet, and you like to read, this may be worth looking into.
