EM Studios (Extra Mile), based in Glasgow, Scotland, has just released their first game on iOS. They have worked for many years in the game industry, and it shows with their first title, Shred It! It is a gorgeous, paper-craft created, snowboarding, endless runner. You will be able to hit the slopes with five different adorable characters, in what is sure to be fun for the whole family. The good news is, EM Studios has told us, the Android version is only a couple weeks away.
I am not sure what it is about paper-crafted worlds in games, but I enjoy them. Paper Monsters from Crescent Moon Games is a favorite of mine. Another game that I have enjoyed is Shuriken Chicken, by Games for Gummie (iOS Only), which is another endless runner. When I came across Shred It!, I was immediately intrigued. The artistry and creativity it takes to pull off a a successful game in this category is vast, but it looks like EM Studios has met the challenge and come out victorious.

If you enjoy snowboarding games, Shred It! will be available to play soon. You will have the choice of the following characters: Parker, Jessie, Rufus, Frappe or Cosmo! There will be character customization and challenges for you to complete in the game. By collecting leaves and golden feathers, you will be able to unlock new costumes and boards. In addition, there will be leaderboards and achievements for you to collect. The iOS version of the game is free. We expect the game to be similarly priced for Android as well.
