Humble Bundle App is Being Taken off of Google Play

The Humble Bundle app, is being taken down from the Google Play Store, with the reason being they can make more improvements to it if it is not a Google Play published app.

While improvements may be coming to the app, which will be available in the future using an APK installer on the Humble Bundle website, the improvements coming are not clear. For now, those with the app can still use it as it will remain functional. Users will be notified when the latest version is available from the Humble Bundle website. Games and books, the main uses of the app can still be downloaded DRM-free from the website, which was noted in this posting on the official tumblr of Humble Bundle, titled Humble Mumble.

We have reported on Mobile Humble Bundles in the past, the most recent being a Halloween themed collection of games. Humble Bundle has been a great way to purchase many Android games for a low price, and also help charity. While it may not be going anywhere, hopefully this move is beneficial, and won’t cause too many people to give up on the app now that is is slightly less convenient to access.
