True Axis Finally Lands Jet Car Stunts 2 into the Play Store

True Axis, game creator of the excellent titles, True Skate, Space Tripper and Jet Car Stunts, has finally released the sequel to their award winning game, Jet Car Stunts for Android. Jet Car Stunts 2 is now available in the Play Store, and we couldn’t be more excited to try it out. True Axis is known to take their time, to make sure that their games are well-polished, before they are released. If you like driving a vehicle at insane speeds through a maze of tracks floating in mid-air, Jet Car Stunts 2 is the game for you. Are you ready to take flight?

One thing you immediately notice with True Axis games are the controls. They work well. Jet Car Stunts 2 is no different. Upon starting the game, and going through the tutorials with the first few tracks, you see how much time they put into the controls. I typically prefer using on-screen buttons for controls, which you can in this game, but tilting your device to control your buggy, works very well.

The tracks are some of the wildest things you could ever imagine, but brilliant in presentation and executiion. You really have to spend some time and get into the game, to really appreciate what True Axis undertook in this sequel, to make this game bigger and better. It will take several tries to successfully complete some of these tracks, because this is a challenging game. If you played the original game, you know exactly what I mean. Learning how to control your vehicle, while using your afterburner or breaks at the same time, requires skill.

Touching briefly on the subject of in-game graphics, really has to do with the buggies (jets cars) and the tracks. The game is aesthetically pleasing on many levels. A couple of ways to describe the tracks is that they are imaginative and pristine. The splashes of color that appear randomly, accentuate the environment in the clouds. The vehicles are well rendered and show just enough detail. The tracks are in a world of their own, and this is what makes Jet Car Stunts 2, worthy of downloading. You will be hard-pressed to find anything quite like racing in this arena. Racing on courses high above the sky, just doesn’t occur all that often, so True Axis has made sure, that the in-game experience, is one that you will want to come back to again and again.

 Jet Car Stunts 2 Features:

  • Crazy stunt driving on outlandish courses
  • Insane jumps
  • Ludicrous speeds
  • Manic car handling
  • Outrageous jet physics
  • 120 levels, 3 dificulties each. (The first 10 are free)
  • 7 cars with varied handling
  • Level creation and sharing (Purchase required for saving and sharing)
  • Global leaderboards with replays
  • Friend Challenges
  • Controller support.

Jet Car Stunts is a blast to play so far. Granted, I really enjoyed the first game. The game is free to download. This allows you to race the first ten tracks. If you want to unlock all of the tracks, it will cost you $4.99 (That is the price for right now, which is 37% off. I don’t know how long that price will last). You also have the option of downloading track packs, which consist of a multiple tracks for $.99 each. I like the fact that True Axis has given you multiple options for paying for what you want to play.

Unfortunately, the game is not integrated with Google Game Play Services. However, if you do want to challenge your friends, you are able to do so by linking your FaceBook account. True Axis also allows you to save your scores through their server which is also a good option. There are replays for your races as well. It is a beautiful thing to watch, when you have deftly handled a track successfully to the finish line.

If you like racing games that are fun, but may be a bit more challenging, then you shouldn’t miss downloading Jet Car Stunts 2. It took quite a while for the game to arrive in the Play Store, but it is well-worth the wait. Personally, I think they should add an animation with a parachute that opens when you fall off the track… because falling off the track, will happen to you a lot. It would be nice to imagine that you had a safe landing!
