Animoca will be releasing two new Astro Boy games on December 4th

Animoca currently has one game based off of the popular anime character Astro Boy but this Thursday, December 4th, 2014, that number is going to increase to three with the release of two additional Astro Boy games onto Android. While we can’t tell you about one of them until tomorrow, we can tell you about the second game which is called Astro Boy Flight.

Astro Boy Flight follows in the footsteps of Animoca’s first game based off of this franchise called Astro Boy Dash. The difference between the two of them is that while the first one had you controlling Astro Boy in an endless runner type of game where he was running through the streets of his city, Metropolis, Astro Boy Flight has you flying through a vertical endless ‘runner’. The goal here is to destroy as many rogue robots that have invaded your city as you can while trying to survive as long as possible.

There will be plenty of power-ups to try and nab to help you along the way. There is also the ability to gain Assist Bots. In order to get Assist Bots, players will need to beat Death Bots and these Assist Bots that you will get will grant bonuses like missile shields, or point boosters.

Astro Boy Flight will be available for download off of Google Play for free tomorrow and it will have optional IAPs available. We will post an update once the game goes live. As for the second game, we can’t mention anything about it until tomorrow which is when the embargo lifts for it.
