Apparently nothing shows the Christmas Spirit better than two robots beating the crap out of each other. At least that is the impression we are starting to get thanks to the amount of robot-themed combat games that seem to be getting released over the past couple of weeks. As you may have guessed, since we are writing this, that another one has landed on Google Play called Android Overkill.
Before you get all excited, no our beloved mascot for Android is not the main character in this game. With that said, Android Overkill does feature a good variety of robots intent on beating each other for prestige and glory. While the main point of this game is to fight other player’s robots, there are some RPG elements to this game. Most of these RPG mechanics revolve around leveling up your robot and customizing it a bit through these matches that you have.
This is a multiplayer game so you will be going up against other people. Fighting is done through gesture-based controls where your attacks and abilities are unleashed at your opponents by making shape-specific gestures on your screen. In between matches you can play mini-games in order to earn extra cash which you can then use to upgrade your robot.
For those of you who don’t have enough robot violence in your lives right now, Android Overkill is available off of Google Play for free with optional IAPs.
