Gameloft’s Heroes of Order & Chaos MOBA will soon be getting an update which will make the game more of a serious MOBA title by adding some new features to the game. One of the big features that will be coming with this update is a Ban & Pick phase which is what you see in titles such as League of Legends when playing competitively.
Update: December 10th, 2014 10:17am PST: The new Heroes of Order & Chaos update has finally been released and is available for download on Google Play.
Essentially what the Ban & Pick phase does is allow players on each team to pick the heroes they want to use while banning characters they don’t want the other team to have access to. So if a particular hero is considered over-powered, or if you play a team a lot and know one of the players is very good with a specific hero, the other team can ban that character from the match.
Other enhancements and new features coming with this update include things like improved matchmaking and ranking calculation, increased tower defenses, a new UI and more. There will also be two additional heroes added to the game but the details on those haven’t been released. What we don’t know is exactly when the update will arrive. All that is mentioned is that it will be appearing soon.
