SNK Playmore has released another one of their classic games onto Android and this time it is Beast Busters. Originally released in 1989, this is an on-rails shooter style of game which originally had players controlling one of three military servicemen as you go around killing monsters. In this version though you will also have the option of controlling your favorite King of Fighters characters.
Beast Busters and King of Fighters are both celebrating birthdays this month, with Beast Busters turning 25 years old and King of Fighters turning 20 years old. This is the main reason for the cross-over we now have available to us. The game itself hasn’t changed much between the original version and this new one. You will still be going around killing monsters but you have the choice of using the original characters or your favorite King of Fighters characters.

Players will be able to upgrade their characters along the way by collecting “Fighter Cores”. These are used to essentially ‘evolve’ your characters into stronger ones. Basically it’s a leveling system but instead of experience points it relies on these Fighter Cores. There is also a Multiplay game mode where you will be able to play alongside your friends so you can all advance together.
Beast Busters is currently available on Google Play for free and does include optional IAPs if you want to take advantage of them.
