So it has been a little over a year since we announced that we would start streaming Android games on TwitchTV. Back then it wasn’t the easiest thing to set up since at that time there was no real support for mobile game streaming on any mobile platform. There was a lot of testing and tweaking of settings, lots of test streams as well. Now it is much easier to stream and we’ve already been streaming games on our TwtichTV channel. However we haven’t had an official ‘launch’ yet.
So what better way to launch our official TwitchTV channel then to hold a charity stream during the holiday season. On top of that, we are going to giveaway some pretty nice presents. We have two Nvidia Shield Tablet packages to giveaway, one of which will be given away during our stream. The other will be given away on the site like we usually do. We are going to try and do a 24hr stream as well for this launch/charity event.
We do need some help with this whole event though. We need you, our readers, to suggest games that we should play during the stream. All the games we playing during this stream don’t have to be Android games either since one of the shows we are going to have on our channel is going to be an After Hours show where we play PC games during our down time. We do have some games in mind already:
– Hearthstone (PC and Android)
– Arma II: Island Life (PC)
– Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (PC)
– Exiles (Android)
– Something from the Final Fantasy franchise (Android – haven’t picked a game yet)
– Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Android)
– Shadowrun Dragonfall (Android)
– Plus whatever games we pick from your suggestions
We haven’t selected what day this stream will take place on. We do know it will be sometime between Christmas and New Years. Of course we will announce when it will actually take place a day or two before it actually happens so there will be plenty of time to make sure you show up. Don’t forget this is for charity as well and we will be supporting Child’s Play. All donations will be through the Child’s Play widget/links and 100% of donations will go to Child’s Play.
So if you have any suggestions for games you want us to play, leave them in the comments below. Any multiplayer games, regardless of platforms, are totally open for viewers to come play with us as well. Keep that in mind when suggesting any games.
