[Update: Gameplay Video] Game in Development: Unreal Engine 4 built Submerged by Uppercut Games

Following the success of their previous projects Epoch and Epoch 2, Uppercut Games recently unveiled their next game in development entitled Submerged. In the Epoch series, the environment was a post-apocalyptic world where only robots survived to fight a war that never ends. In Submerged, the environment is literally overflowing with action, adventure and a compelling narrative. From the brief synopsis of the game, it appears the storyline will have as much heart as it does action and lush visuals.

Update: January 5th, 2015 12:04pm PST: Uppercut Games has released a gameplay trailer to help tease their upcoming game Submerged. You can check it out in the video at the bottom of this article.

Exploration, Sacrifice and the Serenity of Desolation describe what you will encounter in Submerged. Submerged is an exploration adventure, where you struggle to save the life of your brother after escaping from a terrible past. Trapped in an ancient, half-submerged city and desperate for supplies, you must explore the flooded streets in your simple fishing boat, and scale the ruined buildings that hold the promise of salvation. There is a seductive serenity to this vast city, and even a beauty to its decay. But with every passing day, your brother grows weaker, and the memories of the events that drove you here continue to resurface– Uppercut Games

The Unreal Engine 4 is the workhorse behind the impressive visuals that have been released thus far. Based on what we have experienced in the past from Uppercut Games, we can expect an exciting title to play when Submerged is released. A video of the game in action will be released soon. We will have it for you here at Droidgamers when Uppercut Games posts it to their development blog.
