Spoiler Alert is a ‘reverse platformer’ and it is now available on Google Play

A new platformer has made its way to Android today called Spoiler Alert by developer Megafuzz. Actually we should be a bit more precise with what type of game this is. It is actually a ‘reverse platformer’ and if you don’t know what that is, it’s okay as we didn’t either at first when we were told about this game.

So what is a reverse platformer? Well it is pretty much as the name suggests actually. The entire game is already finished and it is your job to un-finish it which, technically, is actually finishing it. In fact everything in this game is in reverse. This includes running, jumping (back flips), level completion, and so on.

Your quest to un-finish this game starts at the last level where you begin making your way back to the first level. You will be un-collecting coins along the way, reviving enemies, and basically everything that you would normally be doing when playing a platformer from start to finish… except backwards. In other words, this is definitely a unique game to play.

Spoiler Alert Features:

– Classic platformer gameplay in a unique new way never before seen
– Very simple one-button gameplay ensures that this game is easy to learn, while difficult to master
– Beautiful handdrawn graphics
– 4 unique and diverse worlds
– Original soundtrack by Roland La Goy
– Epic boss fights, upgrades and many different and unique enemies

The art is kind of enjoyable as well since it is more of a rough cartoon look to it and your character looks like a red chili pepper with a helmet on. Actually your character can change helmets and masks along the way. One really trick about this game is that you can’t collect or kill something that you didn’t originally kill when you ‘played the game through normally’. In other words, if you collect a coin that wasn’t actually collected when the game was completed, you create a time paradox and die.

So far the game has 100 levels to un-finish and hopefully the developers come out with an expansion with more levels at some point… or would that be less levels? Or would that be called a shrinkage instead of an expansion? Either way Spoiler Alert is available on Google Play for a mere buck.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
