Now GameStreaming: Star Wars Games

Welcome to Now GameStreaming, a recommendation of PC games you can play on the NVIDIA Shield and Shield Tablet with NVIDIA GameStream. With the latest Humble Bundle featuring Star Wars games, there is no better time than now.

Over the years the PC has been able to host many fantastic, and some not so great Star Wars games. While there are many games available, I’ll be looking at some you can stream to your Shield Device. Punch it Chewie!

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga:

All the Star Wars movies, so far, in one LEGO game. If after that sentence alone you are not interested there may be something wrong with you. A Death Star load of characters, in LEGO mini-fig form, accompany the numerous levels that tell the story of the Star Wars saga, and combine the first two LEGO Star Wars games, in one game.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition:

The PC release of The Force Unleashed features additional what if DLC that puts Starkiller, Darth Vader’s now non-canonical secret apprentice, in famous Star Wars locations including the snow planet Hoth. The Force Unleashed truly takes The Force to an extreme, with your abilities allowing you to shock, throw, or slash any enemy in your sight. I do have to say the first level/area is hard to stomach. DroidGamers does not condone the killing of wookiees. (Editor’s note: At least not on a regular basis.)

Star Wars: Battlefront II:

Arguably the best Star Wars game in the the galaxy, Battlefront II is what you would expect from the title, large scale battles with Star Wars characters in Star Wars environments. While I’m  not sure if this works on the Shield without a keyboard, I find with Pinnacle Game Profiler it works with my Shield controller.

To read about how all this is possible check out the official NVIDIA Site. here. Also if you do not own a Shield Device but do have a capable PC I recommend you take a look at Limelight.
