Galaxy on Fire: Alliances gets a massive update called Disrupting the Nebula

Fish Labs popular Galaxy on Fire: Alliances title has received an update called Disrupting the Nebula which, according to the developers, is the biggest update in the history of the game to date. The official version number is 1.12 and brings with it a “plethora of enhancements, adjustments and extensions”.

For those of you not familiar with Galaxy on Fire: Alliances, this game Fish Labs’ strategy MMO game based off of their previous Galaxy on Fire titles. While the original games were more of an action-adventure series in space, Alliances is a base building strategy game where players build up their base and fleet in order to battle other players. Unlike a lot of games in this genre, this particular one also features high-end visuals, something you don’t find in too many MMO strategy games these days.

Disrupting the Nebula Features:

· Multiple round battles: Space battles will now go down in different waves and players can use the breaks between the differing battle rounds to send reinforcements or order your fleets to retreat
· New means of espionage: Besides gaining intel on enemy planets, spy drones can now also be used to collect helpful information about incoming enemy fleets
· Tactical sector grid: The new sector grid allows for an easier and quicker identification and communication of hot spots on the star map
· Instant team formation: Players in need of backup can reach out to nearby allies via push notifications and form attack or defense teams within seconds
· Alliance flags: Alliances can add country flags, faction decals or general symbols (such as peace sign, skull and crossbones or rainbow colors) to their profile pages in order to illustrate their philosophy, playstyle or origin
· Global in-game chat: Players can now reach out to the entire server and share their thoughts and ideas with all players who are currently online
· Social Invites: Players can now access a broad selection of social networks directly from within the app and invite their friends to play Galaxy on Fire™ – Alliances

The new Disrupting the Nebula update brings an overhauled spy system to the game as well as multiple round battles on select servers, new Alliance Flags, Tactical sector grid layout, Global in-game chat, and a whole new call/push notification system for teaming up with alliance members before combat. In other words the update, even though it is a really big update, doesn’t actually bring much in the way of new content. Instead it is all improvements and new user-friendly features. Lastly, there is a new server dedicated to Android users.

If you have Galaxy on Fire: Alliances on your device, this update is currently available for download whenever you’re free to do so. If you don’t have this game and want to try it out, you can download it off of Google Play for free.
