Sanuk Games brings Bombing Bastards from Steam over to Android TV and the Nvidia Shield

Sanuk Games originally released Bombing Bastard onto Steam and the Wii U not too long ago and it has done pretty decently for itself on those two platforms. However in order to bring bombing madness to the masses, Sanuk Games has finishing developing an Android version of their game and have released it onto Google Play for Android TV and the Nvidia Shield brand of devices.

Actually, while this release is labeled as Android TV and Nvidia Shield, anyone can play it as long as they have a compatible device, which appears to be anything with a big screen. So big Android phones, like the LG G3 and the Samsung Note series as well as tablets all seem to be compatible. However, no matter what device you play on you are required to use a controller as there are no touchscreen controls in this version of the game.

Bombing Bastards is a Bomberman style of game where players run around in a different levels that are designed like mazes and try to bomb different critters and enemies. If the single-player content isn’t your thing, there is both local multiplayer for up to 5 players as well as online multiplayer with up to 8 players.

Bombing Bastards Features:

• 5 picturesque worlds with 30 wicked mazes.
• A large bestiary of critters to blast.
• A multitude of items and power ups to collect.
• 5 hellish boss levels whose punishing difficulty will only be matched by the satisfaction you’ll get once you beat them.
• Over 10 minutes of caustic comments from Dr. Wallow, voiced by David Goldfarb (the voice behind multiple characters in Mario Kart 8).
• 7 famous pieces of classical music electronically butchered by Samuel Safa.

Since the developers state that this version of the game requires a physical game controller to play, we can assume that at some point there will be another version that will eventually be released that will come with touchscreen controls. As for when that will happen, we don’t know. If you have a controller though, and a device that is supported, you can pick up a copy of Bombing Bastards off of Google Play for $5.99.
