Kickstarter funded game Boss Monster is now out for Android tablets

Brought to us by Brotherwise Games, Boss Monster is a dungeon-building game that was originally designed to be played with cards. After a successful campaign on Kickstarter, Boss Monster has now been brought over to Android. Brotherwise Games has partnered up with Plain Concepts (the ones that created Wave Engine) to make this happen. In doing so, they created a straight digital conversion of the tabletop game, so players will be using digital cards to create their dungeons, in the hopes of keeping this version as close to the original as possible, while taking advantage of the CPU speed up the calculations within the game.

The idea behind Boss Monster is simple. Players assume the role of a video game boss monster, whose job it is to build a dungeon that will entice heroes into entering this dungeon, only to be slain by eponymous Boss Monster. The goal is to collect ten souls of slain heroes, without receiving five damage. If the latter precedes the former, that player is removed from the game. The first player to reach the desired number of souls wins the game.

Boss Monster Features:

– Play against up to three AI opponents in solo play.
– Challenge other human opponents online.
– Play with ALL of the bosses, rooms, and spells available in the base game …including rare out-of-print cards!
– Explore new “digitally-enhanced” cards: four rooms, three new Bosses, and a new spell that all take advantage of the digital platform, allowing stats and treasure values to change as you play (coming in future expansions).

If you’re interested in picking up a copy of Boss Monster you can do so off of Google Play for free. You can also purchase the first game expansion via a single IAP for $6.99. It is also good to note that this game is pretty much only for tablets right now.
